A virtual hello to you all! We have been receiving lots of great questions from you and your colleagues, so we are starting this document to keep a collaborative place where you can ask questions, look over what others have asked, and see a running tab of answers and resources. We’ve started with a few couple of questions on the left that we’ve already gotten- please feel free to check them out if you’re interested, or add your question on this form. We will do our best to answer or find answers for all instructional tech questions.
You can also continue to email your Technology Design Coaches questions!
Stay safe, start small, and be well.
We are grateful to be even a small part of the Austin ISD community and have the privilege of supporting you all.
Some Overall Considerations:
- Less is more approach- there are a lot of free tools out there at the moment, but pick one or two that you want to focus on and use (preferably those that you have used before).
- Think about what you already have taught your students to use. Stick with that as much as possible.
- Keep in mind that good pedagogy still holds true. Here’s a great read about culturally responsive online learning.
- The new Continuity of Learning Hub course has a very manageable set of pages focused on just the most highly recommended tools/features to help connect with students, connect students with each other, and provide feedback for students.
