My students can’t hear the audio from a Playposit! How can I help troubleshoot audio issues for Playposit bulbs?

If students are on a Chromebook, have them update their Chrome browser by telling them to type the following into their URL address bar: chrome://settings/help . Then, try replaying the bulb: Audio should play with an updated Chrome browser. If updating the Chrome browser does not work, click the gear icon ⚙️ on the bottom corner of the video and then move the volume slider to the right to increase the volume.

If students are on an iPad, Safari’s latest update has been causing audio issues for several applications. Try having students change their default browser to Chrome by going into the iPad “Settings” and then selecting “Chrome” in the list of apps on the left. Find “Default Browser App” and select “Chrome.” Then, from the Canvas Student App, when students click the “Launch External Tool” button for the Playposit, it opens in a new window: Have students click the little compass icon in the top right-hand corner to get Chrome to open the Playposit. The sound from the bulb should play from there.

How does a student retake a PlayPosit bulb?
It’s not a BLEND setting. Changing the BLEND assignment setting does not provide students an extra attempt. The teacher must edit the Playback Options in the bulb and select “Allow learners to retake the bulb.”
