My students are experiencing inconsistent behavior on chromebooks, is there anything they can try?
Always start with restarting the chromebook. Just turn it off with the power button, then turn it back on.
Check for extensions – Sometimes students have added extensions that create conflicts. No judgement. Just have the student remove the extensions and restart.
To be sure the Chromebook is current, check for updates using Gopher Buddy
If Google access in BLEND is an issue, check Google Authorization in BLEND
Is Chrome blocking Google cookies?
IF you see the eye with the slash through it when attempting to authorize Google in BLEND, try the process demonstrated in this video: Solution – Google Cookies Being Blocked

When all else fails, Powerwash Your Chromebook.

My Students can’t see GIFs I have linked, what is going on?
Sites that host cute kitten GIFs and cartoon memes often host less appropriate material. For this reason, these sites may get blocked by the district’s content filter. You will need to download the GIF and upload it to your page.
The GIF below demonstrates the process.

Last week you shared information on Google Assignments, is there a student facing resource I can share?
This new student-facing video,  bit.ly/aisdga-student, shows what students will see when the teacher uses the Google Assignment External Submission tool in Canvas.
The video shared last week is Using The Google Assignment External Submission Tool in Canvas.

How do I turn off the ability for students to tag each other in Seesaw posts? Students are somehow posting and submitting other students’ work on their Seesaw activity.  How do I turn off this capability? In Class Settings on the web, teachers can now adjust the ability for students to edit tagged people on a post separately from the ability to edit their posts/activity responses. The setting will be respected on all devices. (from Seesaw’s Help Center)
Here is a screencast showing how to turn off the “Edit People” ability for students.

My students are experiencing inconsistent behavior on iPads, is there anything they can try?
Restart your iPad
– never underestimate the power of a fresh start.
Close apps – Open apps can decrease the amount of memory available to the iPad.
Clear storage/camera roll – When storage gets full, iPads may have trouble creating new files like videos for Seesaw.Have you gotten logged out of BLEND, Seesaw, or Google? Re-authenticate Those apps.
