Is there any PLED-eligible learning from the TDT?

The Tech Design Team’s new training course, bit.ly/aisdtdtpl (Austin ISD only), has new training available for teachers to access and the content is connected to HCP for PLED credit.  Two new sections are vendor-created certification trainings. The PlayPosit Teacher Academy and Screencastify’s Mastering the Screencast asynchronous sections give teachers the skills they need to create with these tools and also provide a printable certificate upon completion.

Evening with…Google Assignment LTI

The TDT is hosting this conversation about what we have learned about using the Google Assignment LTI in Canvas this year.  Hear how the LTI can be used 4 different ways, depending on how the teacher wants students to submit their work and what type of feedback and interaction is desired for the assignment.  The live webinar is on November 11th from 5p-6p (bit.ly/tdteveningwith).  The session resources, link to the HCP registration and the recordings for asynchronous credit will be available the following week from our training course, bit.ly/aisdtdtpl .

Changes to Student YouTube Accounts

Due to changes in Google Workspace for Education, some settings have changed for YouTube users under 18yrs. These changes have been applied to all AISD students.  Some of the changes on student accounts include disabling Blogger, disabling the ability leave posts on all Google products, and explicit filtering has been applied to all Google products where available.

Of special note is that student YouTube accounts can no longer:
