Weekly LEssons Learned Logo

Welcome to the Technology Design Team Weekly Lessons Learned! This is a recurring feature on Friday afternoons where the Technology Design Team will share top of mind resources and learning. Each week, we will post a few key things we hope you may find useful. We look forward to sharing our learning with you. We look forward to sharing our learning with you.

Some of the content may be specific to the realities of Austin ISD though, we hope, much will be useful to viewers worldwide. The Weekly Lessons Learned Archive contains a list of topics from and links to previous updates.

Can staff or students use the ‘Login with Google’ button to login to a website?

Using the “Login with Google” button to create an account with a website does not mean that the website is an approved resource or safe to use with the Austin ISD Google account.  Students should not assume that a site is okay if they use the Login with Google button and should only use it with AISD Approved websites or services, like Adobe Spark.

How do I filter by grading period in my BLEND gradebook?

  • Your assignment settings and due dates impact which grading period assignments go into in your BLEND gradebook. This is a screencast for how to filter specifically by grading period.
  • The grading periods in BLEND are set to match the official Austin ISD calendar. As we move from one grading period to the next, your BLEND gradebook filters may automatically adjust to the current grading period.

What other filters are available in the BLEND gradebook?

How can I view the Screencastify videos I have already recorded?

Screencastify has a new “My Videos” menu that not only shows your previous videos, but now lets you search your video library titles.  Find your My Videos page from the Screencastify Menu.

Save the date! June 7th Blended Learning Summit. More information coming soon.
